Belarusian delegation attends Le Bourget air show

MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) - The Belarusian delegation headed by Chairman of the State Military and Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev travelled to France for the 50th international air show in Le Bourget on 17-19 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in France.

The delegation also includes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko, Director of the Belavia national air company Anatoly Gusarov,
Director of the Geoinformation Systems company of the NAS of Belarus Sergei Zolotoi and the heads of a number of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Belarus.

On 17 June Sergey Gurulev and Pavel Latushko took part in the opening ceremony of the international air show, which was also attended by French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov, and heads of foreign delegations.

During the air show, the Belarusian delegation will hold meetings with the French, Spanish, Chinese and other companies which are the world leaders in the aerospace industry.

Le Bourget air show is held every two years. The first exhibition was held in 1909. More than 200 official delegations from 88 countries are expected to attend the air show in 2013 which showcases 2,215 companies from 44 countries.
