Minsk to host conference on Belarus-EU partnership 13-14 June

MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – The Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) under the auspices of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus and the EU Office in Belarus will play host to an international conference “Republic of Belarus-European Union: Problems and Partnership Prospects” on 13-14 June, BelTA learnt from the NASB press service.

The conference is organized for experts representing scientific centers of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and the EU countries. The specialists are expected to consider the issues of current importance related to the public political, social and economic, scientific and cultural cooperation on the European continent in the context of the developing cooperation of the EU with Belarus and other Eastern partners, discuss the implementation of European and Eurasian integration programs. Special attention with be turned to social, humanitarian and cultural sides of the European cooperation.

The program of the conference will comprise reports and greeting speeches on behalf of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, the NASB, the EU Office in Belarus and foreign diplomatic missions.

A monograph “Republic of Belarus-European Union: Problems and Partnership Prospects” will be presented during the conference. This collective scientific work was prepared by Belarus’ leading scientists and experts in international relations and the international law, social, economic and cultural cooperation, philosophy of international cooperation.
