EurAsEC venture company to get go-ahead 4 April

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – The signing of founding documents and the presentation of the venture company “EurAsEC Innovation Technologies Center” will take place in Minsk on 4 April 2013, BelTA learnt from the State Science and Technology Committee.

Belarus will offer the EurAsEC venture company to finance high-technology projects. The Belarusian side will present innovation projects regarding the production of new materials and nanocarbons, power metallurgy and healthcare. Projects will be presented by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the High-Tech Park and the Belarusian Innovation Fund.

Today the authorized capital of the venture company comprises RUB30 million from the Russian Venture Company and the same amounts from Kazakhstan’s National Technological Development Agency and the Belarusian Innovation Fund.

“The venture company “EurAsEC Innovation Technologies Center” should be viewed both as an economic structure and a real organization aimed at assistance of integration processes in the EurAsEC and the Single Economic Space,” the State Science and Technology Committee said. The company will use mechanisms of venture capital financing in the interests of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan and commoditize innovative products of the High-Tech Center of the Eurasian Economic Community.

Attending the presentation will be executives of the State Science and Technology Committee, the Belarusian Innovation Fund, the Russian Venture Company, the National Technological Development Agency of Kazakhstan, the EurAsEC High-Tech Center as well as state representatives of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
