Surplus in transport services trade up by 50% in Belarus in January
MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – In January 2013, the surplus in Belarus’ foreign trade in transport services approximated $185 million, up by almost 50% compared to the same period last year, says a report of the National Statistics Committee, BelTA has learnt.
The export of transport services in January made up $283.4 million, up by 16.6% over January 2012. These services include railway transport services (35.6%), road transport services (24.5%) and pipeline transport services (26.7%).
The import of transport services was estimated at $98.4 million, down by 14.7%. The import of transport services is dominated by railway transport services (38.6%), road transport services (24.4%) and sea transport services (22.6%).
