Prokopovich: Belarus can find stable markets in Southeast Asia

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – Belarus can get stable markets in Southeast Asia, Vice Premier of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich told media on 22 March.

The developing market of Southeast Asia is one of the most promising, Mr Prokopovich said. The region is facing an economic boom. The countries of the region are home to a great part of the world’s population. It is important for Belarus to develop new markets there, especially for the exports of its foodstuffs. “We also need steady markets for the export of our mechanical engineering products. Therefore our penetration into the market of Southeast Asia, keeping a steady foothold there is an extremely important factor,” the official noted.
