Belarus, Germany discuss cooperation prospects

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Prospects for developing cooperation in the industry and entrepreneurship are discussed today at the meeting of the Belarusian-German working group for trade and investment in Minsk, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrei Savinykh told reporters on 21 March.

The participants of the meeting are expected to exchange the information on the current economic situation in Belarus and Germany, prospects for bilateral trade and economic cooperation. They will discuss cooperation in industry, standardization and certification, small and medium-sized business, logistics as well as relations between establishments involved in investment generation and country marketing. The parties will look into the ways to intensify cooperation in such promising areas as enhancement of qualifications of the managerial personnel, information and communications technologies, energy saving and renewable energy resources.

Belarus’ part of the working group is led by Director of the Department for Foreign Economic activity of the Foreign Ministry Alexander Averyanov, the German part – by Chief of the Department for Cooperation with CIS countries of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology Andreas Neumann.
