Flags at half-mast in Belarus for President Hugo Chavez

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) - By the decision of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, flags are flown at half-mast in Belarus in connection with the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, informed Belarusian TV channels.

“By the decision of President Alexander Lukashenko, flags are flown at half-mast in Belarus. The nation mourns and shares the pain of the loss together with the Venezuelan people,” reads the communication on the website of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company.

Hugo Chavez died at 58. The official mourning will last for seven days in Venezuela. The funeral of the Venezuelan leader is due on 8 March.
