Lukashenko sends anniversary greetings to Belarusian border service

MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent his best greetings to the command, personnel and veterans of the border service of Belarus which celebrates the 95th anniversary, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

“Loyalty to honored military traditions, eagerness to enrich them with everyday military service aimed at protecting the Republic of Belarus were and are the priorities for the present generation of border guards,” the message of greetings reads.

“Today your service becomes even more essential; and the notion ‘border guard’ is more important than ever. It is necessary to focus on further improvement of the border protection system, higher professionalism and solid moral and business qualities of the personnel. I am convinced that you will continue honestly and selflessly serving your people with full responsibility and commitment,” the President remarked.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked veterans of the border service who were dedicated to protecting the borders of the Fatherland.
