Belarus seeks AEON investment in Minsk Airport

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in attracting investment of AEON Corporation in the development of Minsk Airport. The issue was discussed in a meeting between Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich and AEON Corporation head Roman Trotsenko and Novaport head Sergei Rudakov, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

“The parties discussed bilateral cooperation, opportunities for attracting investment in Minsk Airport development, creation of an international transfer hub between the cities of Russia, the CIS and Europe,” the press service noted. The parties also considered an opportunity of opening up new routes for the national air carrier Belavia and a modern repair base in Belarus.

AEON Corporation is a private international investment group. Its companies are engaged in nearly 70 various activities. The main areas are transport, construction, communication lines, property management, airport and inland navigation management, products for aviation and space industries. AEON Corporation comprises more than 30 companies, including Novaport, airport assets management.
