Brussels upholds Belarus’ suggestion to boost business dimension of EaP

MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation that included representatives of the Economy Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Belarus’ Permanent Office at the EU took part in a session of Platform 2 "Economic Integration and Convergence with EU Policies” of the Eastern Partnership Initiative in Brussels, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The participants of the session harmonized the draft work program of the platform for 2014-2015 that stipulates efforts to expand cooperation in customs, transport, standardization, and SME. Members of the platform upheld Belarus’ suggestion to strengthen the business dimension of the Eastern Partnership Initiative, hold more forums and other events helping establish direct business contacts.

The participants of the session discussed prospects of partner states to join the Programme for the Competitiveness of enterprises and SMEs (COSME) of the European Commission.
