Prosecution for after-surgery death in Belarusian private clinic

MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Due to the tragic death of a patient in the private Belarusian clinic Ekomedservis President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has given instructions to dismiss all the guilty medical and administrative personnel of the clinic and use restrictive measures against them in line with the law, the press service of the Belarusian head of state told BelTA.

The head of state also instructed the Healthcare Ministry to take over the management of the private clinic. The future of this commercial organization will be determined soon.

The State Control Committee has been instructed to audit finances and business operations of the clinic while the Investigation Committee will take care of enforcing the hardest legal penalties for the guilty ones.
