Belarus, France agree on the need to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation

MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Belarus and France confirm the need to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation. The issue was discussed at the meeting between Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko and Diplomatic and European Adviser to the President of the National Assembly of France Emmanuel Tuchscherer at the Palais Bourbon on 30 April, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties confirmed the need to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation and agreed to discuss the issue regarding the exchange of visits between the parliamentary groups of friendship of Belarus and France.

The Ambassador expressed Belarus’ interest in boosting Belarus-France bilateral relations in economy, culture and interregional cooperation.

Mr Tuchscherer was also briefed on the development of the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, plans for bilateral economic events in the near future.
