Belarusian companies welcome to partake in Moscow tenders

MOSCOW, 13 May (BelTA) – Moscow authorities hope that Belarusian companies will take an active part in the city’s tenders. The statement was made by Sergei Cheremin, a minister of the Moscow government, head of the foreign trade and international ties department, as he met with a Vitebsk Oblast delegation in Moscow on 13 May. The delegation was led by Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Cheremin underlined that Moscow relations with Belarus are strategic. Belarus is a key partner, said the official.

It was noted that it was important for the Russian capital to advance cooperation with Belarus not only in food trade but trade in other products, in particular, transport.

In his words, Moscow authorities are interested in increasing the number of Belarusian fairs. “Moscow residents know your products well, love and look forward to Belarusian fairs,” he said.

Speaking about advancing cooperation with Vitebsk Oblast, Sergei Cheremin reminded that Moscow signed the first agreement with the oblast in 1995. The document allowed advancing cooperation not only in the trade and economic sphere but also in education, healthcare, culture, and other areas.

Sergei Cheremin also suggested arranging Vitebsk Oblast Economy Days in Moscow and Moscow Economy Days in Vitebsk Oblast in the future.
