Belarus, Turkmenistan sign a number of agreements

ASHGABAT, 5 November (BelTA) – A package of documents on developing all-round cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan was signed in Ashgabat following the talks between the Presidents of the two countries on 5 November, BelTA has learnt.

The Government and the National Bank of Belarus signed an agreement on regulation of mutual commitments and financial claims with the Government and the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

The National Bank of Belarus and the Central Bank of Turkmenistan also signed an agreement on cooperation.

The governments of the two countries inked a memorandum of cooperation in healthcare, medical (pharmaceutical) science, education and provision of medical services to citizens of Belarus and Turkmenistan.

The Foreign Ministries of the two states signed a program of cooperation for 2014-2015.

A program of cooperation in physical education and sports was signed between the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Belarus and Turkmenistan’s State Committee for Sport for 2014-2015. A similar program was adopted in the tourism sector. The bilateral legal framework in the area of science and education got one more program on cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in science and technology, an agreement on sci-tech cooperation between the Institute Chemistry of New Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. An agreement on cooperation was signed between the Belarusian State University and the Mahtumkuli Turkmen State University.

An agreement on cooperation was signed between the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan.
