Belarusian-French cooperation discussed in Paris

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – The cooperation between the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan and the European Union was discussed at a meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko with new Deputy Director of the Continental Europe Directorate of the French Minsitry of Foreign Affairs Violena de Villemer, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Paris.

During the meeting the parties discussed the bilateral cooperation of Belarus and France, the interaction of Belarus with the European Union and the participation of Belarus in the EU’s Eastern Partnership Initiative.

One of the key issues of the meeting was the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The talks focused on the various aspects of the interaction between Belarus as a member of the Customs Union and France as a member of the EU.
