Kazakhstan ready to expand cooperation with Belarus’ defense industry

ASTANA, 4 October (BelTA-Kazinform) – The Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan is ready for expanding cooperation with companies of Belarusian defense industries, Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov said at the meeting with Chairman of the State Defense Industries Committee of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Gurulev.

We are interested in the implementation of joint Kazakhstani-Belarusian projects in Kazakhstan,” Adilbek Dzhaksybekov stressed.

The parties discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation in the military technical sector, taking note of fresh momentum in the work of the Kazakhstani-Belarusian sub-commission for military technical cooperation as an important body regulating and promoting relations in the area.

The parties also discussed the issues related to further cooperation in maintenance of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces aircraft on Belarusian companies and the development of an aviation and technical center in Astana.
