New French Ambassador to arrive in Minsk in October

MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Belarus Dominique Gazuy is expected to arrive in Minsk in the second half of October, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Paris.

On 30 September the French capital hosted a meeting between Belarus’ Ambassador to France Pavel Latushko and new head of the French diplomatic mission in Minsk Dominique Gazuy, who previously served as diplomat in Montenegro.

Attending the meeting was also former Ambassador of France to Belarus Michel Raineri who is currently leading the French diplomatic mission in Estonia.

The diplomats focused on cooperation prospects between Belarus and France. Pavel Latushko thanked Michel Raineri for joint constructive cooperation, taking note of his contribution to the development of the Belarusian-French cooperation and wished Dominique Gazuy every success at her new post for the benefit of mutual relations between the two countries.

The parties also discussed prospects of future contacts between Belarus and France in economy, culture, education, tourism and inter-parliamentary cooperation.
