Minsk to host seminar on social security in Belarus, Russia

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Minsk will host the seminar “The agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on cooperation in social security: problems and their solution” for experts and media representatives on 24 October, BelTA learnt from the Labor and Social Security Ministry.

The seminar will be held upon the initiative of the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Belarus with the support of the Union State Permanent Committee. The meeting will focus on the rights of Belarusian and Russian citizens in the field of social security.

The participants of the seminar will discuss such topical issues as the implementation of the agreement in the field of pension coverage of citizens, compulsory occupational accident insurance, problems of implementation of the agreement and ways of their solution.

Partaking in the seminar will be representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee, the Russian Federation Pension Fund, the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation, the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Belarus, the Belarusian Finance Ministry, committees on labor, employment and social security of oblast executive committees and Minsk City Council, and scientific organizations.

The previous seminar that took place in Minsk on 26 September 2013 discussed the state and prospects of labor migration in the Union State.
