Belarus, Serbia to discuss cooperation in industry, agriculture

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) - The seventh session of the Belarus-Serbia intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will be held in Minsk on 25 September, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The Belarusian delegation will be headed by Trade Minister Valentin Chekanov, while the Serbian one by Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-Government Igor Mirovic. Taking part in the session will be also Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister - deputy chairperson of the Belarusian part of the commission Yelena Kupchina.

The session participants are set to discuss bilateral cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport, energy, construction, tourism and inter-regional cooperation.

During his stay in Belarus Igor Mirovic is scheduled to meet with Belarusian Vice Premier Piotr Prokopovich. Separate meetings of members of the Serbian delegation with officials of a number of Belarusian ministries will be held. Members of the Serbian delegation are also expected to visit Minsk Automobile Plant.

The delegation will take part in the second session of the business council for cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and in a business match-making session, with both events scheduled for 24 September 2013.
