Belarus-Czechia business conference due in Minsk on 18 September

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – A Belarus- Czechia business conference as well as negotiations between Belarusian and Czech companies and enterprises will take place in Minsk on 18 September, BelTA learnt from the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Czech delegation led by Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the CIS countries Frantisek Masopust will include representatives of 20 companies such as Armatury group a.s. specializing in the production of different kinds of industrial armature, Brunnthallet-CS s.r.o. that produces and distributes technologies and equipment for cattle, pig, and horse breeding, CZ Hermex s.r.o. producing gunpowder for civil use. Partaking in the negotiations will be representatives of the Czech Export Bank who are ready to offer export credits to Belarusian consumers, and the state-run Export Guarantee and Insurance Company that provides insurance services to all exporters of Czech production regardless of their size, legal form and the amount of the export insured. A Czech company Mavel, a.s. is interested in cooperation with R&D centers designing hydromechanical and hydro power equipment and with companies involved in generation and distribution of electricity. Representatives of other Czech companies coming to Minsk also want to find Belarusian partners for joint projects, to explore the Belarusian market, and to study investment opportunities.

The business conference will also feature Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Czech Republic in Belarus Dagmar Didenko Novohradska, the administration of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of Minsk City Council, Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, and administration of the Minsk free trade zone. The program of the conference includes a business match-making session.

Representatives of the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry informed that Belarusian enterprises will have an opportunity to hold bilateral negotiations in such fields as investment into joint projects, manufacturing, agriculture, bakery and confectionery production, construction, medicine, banking and legal services, modern technologies and associated services at hotels, business centers, etc.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belarus also said that the business delegation of the Czech companies is planning to hold a conference and bilateral negotiations with companies in Mogilev on 16 September.

The conference is organized by the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the CIS countries with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belarus.
