Makei to attend EaP informal ministerial meeting in Yerevan

MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) - A Belarusian delegation will take part in the third round of the informal ministerial dialogues of the member states of the EU Eastern Partnership (EaP) Initiative in Yerevan, BelTA learned from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The event will feature a general discussion of the Foreign Ministers and a thematic meeting of the Education Ministers of the partner countries of the Eastern Partnership. In Yerevan Belarus will be represented by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and Deputy Education Minister Viktor Yakzhik.

The agenda of the informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers includes the issues regarding the current state and prospects for further development of the Eastern Partnership. The Foreign Ministers will also discuss the preparations for the third summit of the Eastern Partnership due in Vilnius on 28-29 November.
