Bolivian President Evo Morales on a visit to Belarus

MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – President of Bolivia Evo Morales has arrived in Belarus on an official visit, BelTA has learnt.

The Presidents of Belarus and Bolivia are due to hold one-on-one talks as well as negotiations with a larger circle of participants on 4 September.

The Bolivian head of state is expected to visit Minsk Tractor Plant, Minsk Automobile Plant – Management Holding Company BelavtoMAZ.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Bolivia were established in April 1994. The countries have been constructively cooperating within international organizations. Bolivia is a co-author of the Belarusian resolution aimed at the improvement of effort coordination in the fight against human trafficking and makes part of Belarus-initiated UN Group of Friends united to combat trafficking in persons. The parties successfully cooperate in the issue of supporting candidates to the UN elective bodies.
