Minsk, Moscow SMEs to discuss cooperation prospects

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of Minsk and Moscow are expected to hold negotiations in the Belarusian capital on 3-4 September, BelTA learnt from the Minsk City Council.

A meeting of Minsk and Moscow business circles will take place as part of the project “Business Marathon 2013. Business Mission in Minsk” initiated by the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow. The main goal of the project is to assist the establishment of direct mutually beneficial production and trade cooperation between businessmen of the two countries. The project envisages a detailed preplanning of bilateral contacts, which was conducted two months ahead of the arrival of the participants in Minsk.

The Russian delegation will comprise representatives of nine Moscow companies engaged in the production of construction and paint materials, textile, children’s wear, furniture.

It is expected that on 4 September the participants of the project will hold a technological tour to share experience, new knowledge, technologies and discuss cooperation prospects with Minsk industrial companies. The program will also include a presentation tour of Minsk business and profile associations for Moscow companies, roundtables with the participation of specialists in logistics, certification and patenting as well as representatives of insurance and banking structures.
