Belarus, Slovenia to discuss political dialogue expansion

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary and Slovenia on concurrent Alexander Khainovsky is in Slovenia on a working visit on 2-4 September. He is taking part in the annual international strategic forum in Bled, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The main issues for discussion at the forum are the issues related to the future of the European economic and currency unions, the prospects of economic cooperation on the European continent, including under the conditions of integration processes towards the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Karl Erjavec and Alexander Khainovsky took part in a ceremony of signing an agreement with the Slovenian company Riko on the supply of furniture and equipment for Kempinsky Hotel which is under construction in Minsk. Expansion of the company’s activity in Belarus was discussed at the meeting with Riko Director General Janez Skrabec.

Alexander Khainovsky is set to hold a number of meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia to discuss the expansion of the Belarusian-Slovenian political dialogue and strengthening of economic cooperation. Apart from that, the parties will take stock of the progress made in the preparations for a regular meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Slovenian commission for trade, economic and sci-tech cooperation which is due in Minsk in December 2013.
