Minsk to launch Electronic School project in new academic year

MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – A large-scale innovation project Electronic School will kick off in Minsk schools this academic year, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he visited Minsk school No.51 on 31 August, BelTA has learnt.

School No.51 will be one of the first movers in the implementation of the project.

The President believes: “School graduates of the 21st century should possess the latest information technologies, fluently speak foreign languages, know how to apply all the rules and theorems in practice. The school is designed to provide every child with equal conditions for his/her career start depending on his/her abilities and efforts.” The President is convinced that there is a need for more modern educational techniques in order to successfully address these goals.

The Belarusian President was informed on the readiness of the education system in Minsk for a new academic year. The head of state was shown the physical infrastructure of the educational establishment and attended the presentation of the Electronic School project.

Alexander Lukashenko presented the new school with PE kits and basket-balls.
