Lukashenko appoints new judges

MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has made judicial manpower reshuffle. The President signed a decree to appoint and relieve from duty a number of Belarusian judges, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

Natalya Andreyeva and Svetlana Taperkina were appointed judges of the Supreme Court. These appointments are to be approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Before the appointment they worked in the Minsk City Court.

Vladimir Sukach and Larisa Filimonikhina were relieved of the posts of the judges of the Supreme Court due to resignation. The Council of the Republic is to be notified about their resignation.

The President also appointed and dismissed judges of various courts in the regions of Belarus.
