Myasnikovich: CIS states should coordinate positions on legislation

SAINT PETERSBURG (BelTA) – The CIS member states should constantly coordinate positions on national legislation, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said at the press conference after the plenary meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on 17 April, BelTA has learned.

“It just happened that I have always observed the laws. Now I take part in the development of the legislative base. Meetings with counterparts from other countries enrich a lot since we should coordinate our positions for certain uniformity. Harmonization of the legislation should be conducted so that to secure the implementation of all the processes,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

The Speaker noted that despite all national differences the CIS countries have always had common views on many historical and modern processes. “We mutually enrich and support each other. One always can reach understanding at the CIS IPA platform, which helps address national and regional issues,” he said.
