Belarus, Vietnam sign cooperation program in economy, science, culture for 2016-2018
HANOI (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam have signed a cooperation program in the economy, science, and culture for the period from 2016 to 2018. The document was signed in the presence of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Vietnam President Truong Tan Sang on 9 December, BelTA has learned.
After the talks, the presidents of Belarus and Vietnam made a joint statement on the strengthening and comprehensive development of relations between the countries.
A number of documents were signed at the level of agencies. In particular, the sides concluded an agreement on the education of Vietnamese citizens at Belarusian universities; a roadmap of cooperation development between the academies of sciences of the two countries, a plan of cooperation in tourism for 2016-2018.
Apart from that, Belarus' Vitebsk Oblast and Vietnam's Binh Thuan Province signed a memorandum of cooperation.
