Digital queues at Belarusian border by year end

MINSK (BelTA) – A full-scale digital queue system will be made available at the Belarusian border by the end of the year, BelTA learned from the article written by Chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus Leonid Maltsev and published by the Sovetskaya Belorussiya newspaper.

According to the source, the system has been tested at the border checkpoints Kozlovichi and Kamenny Log. The analysis of the data indicates that the system is popular and there is confidence that the system brings great benefits for people. A lot of positive feedback has been received. It is now necessary to tune the system in accordance with wishes of citizens and truckers and get down to the main deployment stage. “We will start deploying the full-scale system at Belarusian border checkpoints this year,” noted Leonid Maltsev.

According to the source, during the experiment at the border checkpoint Kamenny Log the border queue booking system was tested by over 2,000 vehicles, including over 1,800 cars and over 200 trucks. In reality about 1,000 vehicles, including over 880 cars and 170 trucks, used the system to cross the border.
