Lukashenko instructs government to pay closer attention to pricing

MINSK (BelTA) – The government should pay scrupulous attention to the issues related to the formation of prices, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the government session held on 20 October to discuss topical aspects of the country's development, BelTA has learned.

“People are extremely dissatisfied with the price formation system in the country, and they are right,” said the President.

“Let us take a look at who benefits the most from this price formation which usually leads to price increase (especially if it is uncontrolled). A producer? Not, actually. Those who produce goods get peanuts. But those who work with these goods afterwards receive huge amounts of money which they do not earn,” the head of state said.
