Hazardous industries to keep early retirement bonus in Belarus

MINSK (BelTA) – People employed in hazardous and unhealthy occupations will continue enjoying early retirement. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement while talking to workers of Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) on 7 April, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that the retirement age for workers in unhealthy occupations will be gradually raised the way it will be raised for the other categories, but the gap will stay the same. “You will continue enjoying this privilege,” the President stressed.

The head of state asked how many MAZ workers are exposed to unhealthy working conditions. He also said that modernization of the foundry shop for the sake of improving working conditions was discussed among other things on 7 April.
