MINSK (BelTA) – The international conference of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will be held in Minsk from 29 August to 2 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

The event will be attended by 150 international experts from the EU, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Representatives of Belarus will also participate in the discussions.

Experts will discuss the development of new IPCC methodology report. “This is the first meeting in the three-year process of preparation of the IPCC document. Work is scheduled for completion by May 2019,” the press service said.
