Lukashenko: Innovative development is impossible without science, qualified personnel

MINSK (BelTA) – Innovative development is impossible without scientific support and highly-qualified personnel, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission Gennady Palchik on 2 August, BelTA has learned.

“We are focused on the innovative development of our country and economy. Of course, it is impossible without scientific support, educated, highly-qualified, and trained personnel. The Higher Attestation Commission is in the center of this work,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The head of state asked Gennady Palchik about the main objectives of the Higher Attestation Commission, the efforts to rejuvenate the personnel of the Academy of Sciences, workers of education and real production sector.

Alexander Lukashenko also wondered what can be done in Belarus to raise the prestige of scientific work taking into account the demands of scientists and the opportunities of the state.
