Belarus President's visit to Middle East region over

MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – The visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to the Middle East region is over. The aircraft with the Belarusian head of state on board departed from the airport of Abu Dhabi to the Minsk National Airport, BelTA has learned.

During the visit the sides were working on the agreements and elaborating plans with the participation of Belarusian and Emirati specialists. Before the departure to Minsk Alexander Lukashenko met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan. At the meeting the sides reaffirmed the interest in the enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation in a wide range of fields, outlined concrete projects which will help advance Belarus-UAE trade and investment partnership to a brand-new level in the near future.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi saw the Belarusian leader off to the airport. This move testifies to the friendly character of relations between the two countries. Alexander Lukashenko and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan had a warm conversation and exchanged presents.

BelTA reported earlier that before the visit to the UAE Alexander Lukashenko traveled to the State of Qatar on an official visit. During that visit the sides signed a package of bilateral documents to advance cooperation in various fields.
