Lukashenko, Putin discuss bilateral ties over phone

MINSK (BelTA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed topical issues of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Russian head of state.

“The two leaders discussed the urgent issues of the bilateral and international agenda and also the schedule of upcoming contacts,” reads the statement.

Vladimir Putin extended birthday greetings to Alexander Lukashenko and wished him strong health and further success. According to the press service, the Russian president had earlier sent a telegram of greetings to the Belarusian leader.
