Decree on support of Belarusian sports organizations prolonged till 2020

MINSK (BelTA) – Decree No. 191 of 15 April 2013 “On the provision of support to physical fitness and sports organizations” has been prolonged for the new Olympic cycle till 2020. Corresponding amendments to the abovementioned legal act were approved by the decree of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

Besides, an exhaustive list of expenses of team sports clubs on the development of youth and children's sport and the improvement of the infrastructure of these sports was compiled to raise the efficiency of using funds. To promote the development of their sports, corresponding clubs and organizations can use funds from any sources except for the local budgets in the estimated volume.

The decree also excludes the possibility to raise the salaries of athletes competing in lower divisions of the national championships of the Republic of Belarus.
