Belarus president to award grants to 98 scientists and researchers

MINSK (BelTA) - The Belarus president's grants will be awarded to 98 specialists of scientific, educational, healthcare, and cultural institutions. The head of state has signed a relevant executive order, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The grants will be spent on R&D in the fields of technology, medicine, biology, chemistry, agriculture, and economy, and also raising the quality of education by using cutting-edge technologies and educational techniques. The grants have also been allocated for developing new diagnostic techniques; learning and teaching support material, treatment and rehabilitation in cardiac surgery, endocrinology, oncology, anesthesiology, gastroenterology, allergology; creating new works of art and arranging cultural events to promote the Belarusian culture and its achievements, and also preserve the national spiritual traditions.

The executive order aims to support talented specialists in top-priority fields for Belarus: science, education, healthcare, and culture.
