Lukashenko briefed about results of Belarus- Zimbabwe talks

MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko heard out a report by Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Viktor Sheiman on 25 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The president was informed about the outcomes of Viktor Sheiman's recent visit to the Republic of Zimbabwe. The Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate met with Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Chairman of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, key ministers in charge of foreign affairs, international trade, mining, agriculture, transport, and infrastructure. The parties discussed cooperation prospects in agriculture, transport, logistics, power engineering, construction, education, defense industry and supplies of Belarusian machinery to Zimbabwe.

The parties agreed to set up joint ventures and to consider joint projects in infrastructure development, construction of railways and motorways and establishment of logistic facilities. A decision was made to set up a respective working group.
