Sergei Sidorsky honors distinguished Belarusians
MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky presented awards to the distinguished people of the country on 6 November, BelTA has learnt.
The list of awardees includes around 70 people. These are chiefs of industrial and communications companies, healthcare education, culture and public institutions, construction companies, personnel of the Belorusneft Production Association, representatives of the government bodies (Ministry for Taxes and Duties), notary offices and customs, Belpochta mail service, Emergencies Ministry.
Addressing the awardees, the Prime Minister said: “You show that valorous labour is the key to the prosperity of the state, is the source of wellbeing for every one of us. In hard times like the present the chiefs are responsible for the efficient work of their personnel, and you successfully cope with this task.”
In particular, Sergei Sidorsky underlined a great contribution of the workers of the aviation and communication areas into the development of the industry of services in Belarus.
According to Sergei Sidorsky, the Belorusneft personnel is working hard to mine the national oil, though a small amount, in order to enhance the country’s energy security.
Addressing the healthcare staff who were awarded medals, For Larbor Service, the Prime Minister stressed that these people have chosen the most humane profession on Earth. They know best the real value of the human life and guard the most precious thing, health. Among the awardees was Alexander Voinov, Head Physician of the Sosny health resort under the Property Management Directorate of the President of Belarus, Alla Pshenichnaya, Chief Physician of the Bobruisk maternity hospital, Tamara Aniskevich, head of the gynecological department of the Gomel oblast hospital, others.
Official thanks were expressed to the workers of the State Control Committee and the Ministry for Taxes and Duties. “It is you who suppress any attempts of inefficient state expenditure, secure timely collection of taxes and duties and budget replenishment, fight against law violation and irresponsibility of senor officials,” Sergei Sidorsky said. Larisa Kondratova, Deputy Tax Minister of Belarus, Raisa Savritskaya, deputy chairman of the State Control Committee, and Lilia Chigir, chairman of the Mogilev oblast department of the State Control Committee, received the official thanks of the President of Belarus for activities in these areas.
The official thanks were also given to scientists, cultural workers, representatives of intelligentsia and teachers who contribute to the development of science, national arts, spiritual and esthetic upbringing of Belarusians and professional education of younger generation. Dmitri Lazovsky, Rector of Polotsk State University, and Tamara Gordei, Khoroshki ballet tutor, were awarded the medal, For Labor Service.
“Your commitment, active living position, purposefulness and personal contribution to the development of the Belarusian society deserves great respect,” said the Prime Minister. “The Belarusian economy is secured with various state programs. The implementation of these programs depends primarily on each of you. I am confident your professional knowledge, high responsibility and ability to organize the effective work will facilitate further successful social, economic, scientific and cultural development of Belarus.” |
