Prime minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorskiy leaves on working visit for Stavropol Krai
Prime minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorskiy is leaving on a working visit for Stavropol Krai where he is scheduled to meet with region’s governor Alexander Chernogorov September 28. Belarusian representatives have already started establishing contacts and economic ties with Stavropol Krai’s companies.
In 2004 the trade turnover between Belarus and Stavropol Krai of the Russian Federation jumped 94.9 per cent to USD 92,4 million, including USD 71 million exports and USD 21 million imports.
In the first half of 2005 the trade turnover with this Russian region almost reached USD 40 million and reduced by 1.2 per cent against the same period of 2004. Besides, exports made USD 35,3 million; imports – USD 4,1 million.
Belarus exports tractors to Stavropol Krai (this year supply volumes make USD 18,9 million – almost a half of the total Belarusian export to the region). The republic imports mainly wheat from Stavropol Krai (this year it has purchased wheat worth of USD 0,8 million or 12.6 per cent of the total import of this region to the Republic of Belarus).
During his visit to Stavropol Krai the head of the Belarusian government will examine the course of construction of the health compound Belaya Vezha located in the city of Kislovodsk. |
