Trade turnover between Belarus and Ukraine hits $2 billion in January-September
In January-September 2007, the trade turnover between Belarus and Ukraine totaled $2 billion 58.1 million, or 20.5% up on the same period last year, BelTA learnt in the trade-economic group of the Belarusian Embassy in Ukraine.
Over the nine months, the Belarusian exports to Ukraine increased by 12% to make up $956.9 million, the imports upped by 29% to make up $1101.2 million.
Ukraine ranks fourth on Belarus’ trade partners main list.
Ukraine mainly exports agricultural machinery, trucks, household goods including TV sets, refrigerators and lifts from Belarus. In turn, Ukraine imports metal products, grain and sunflower oil to Belarus.
In 2006, the bilateral trade turnover totaled around $2.5 billion. |
