Alexander Lukashenko decorates President Security Service officers
MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Belarusian head of state Alexander Lukashenko has awarded the most outstanding officers of the Belarus President Security Service, BelTA has learned.
The ceremony took place on occasion of the 15th anniversary of the security service.
Alexander Lukashenko stated that the security service is a thoroughly equipped, prepared and capable government agency, which personnel handles assigned tasks in a quality way.
The head of state pointed out that priority attention should be paid to working out and introducing new forms and methods to detect and prevent threats to the security of guarded persons and facilities. According to the President, efforts of all units of the security service should be aimed at preventing any attempts on guarded persons. Success can only be secured if the officers can detect signs of an imminent crime in time, said Alexander Lukashenko. The officers must know the real situation in detail, must be able to assess consequences, its changes and work out effective measures.
The President pointed out the need to increase the quality of field work and information analysis, technical support for holding events, which involve the head of state and other guarded persons, to improve the equipment that the security service has, to use cutting-edge solutions for the sake of accomplishing missions.
The head of state also believes that the cooperation of the security service with government agencies and organizations during preparations for and the holding of mass cultural and sports events should be advanced to a brand new level.
Alexander Lukashenko pointed out the professional skills that the officers demonstrate at various international and national competitions, for instance, bodyguard competitions. By universal consent Belarusian officers are considered to be the best in ex-USSR. |
