MPs to promote Belarus-Cuba cooperation
MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, praised the level of the relations between Belarus and Cuba during his meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Belarus Alfredo Nieves Portuondo on 4 November. He stressed the parliamentarians are interested in developing and strengthening such relations, BelTA has learnt.
The Belarusian Speaker noted that the cooperation between the parliamentarians between Belarus and Cuba has been steadily developing both at the bilateral level and within the international organizations. The sides provide permanent assistance to each other in the international arena. According to Vladimir Andreichenko, a parliamentary dialogue can handle both political and economic issues. He believes that apart from boosting trade cooperation the two countries have great opportunities of setting up joint ventures. Cuba is a reliable ally and a partner for Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko stated.
Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, on his part, gave a strong approval to the level of the parliamentary contacts between Belarus and Cuba, cooperation in the international arena. “Our dialogue is transparent and constructive. I hope Belarus-Cuba all-round cooperation will continue developing,” the diplomat said. |
