MINSK ( BelTA) – The bill “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman on the mutual visa waiver" was approved at a sitting of the fourth session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation, BelTA has learned.

“The agreement establishes visa-free entry for Belarusian citizens into Oman and, correspondingly, vice versa, based on valid national passports for a period of up to 30 days from the date of entry. However, the total duration of visa-free stay must not exceed 90 days per year,” Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov said.

He also noted that in February 2025, direct air traffic was established between Belarus and Oman, contributing to increased tourism flows and the development of business ties. “According to available statistical data, nearly 500 Omani citizens visited Belarus in 2025, while the tourist flow of Belarusian citizens to Oman during the same period amounted to approximately 5,500 people,” Evgeny Shestakov emphasized.
