Bill on industrial safety submitted to Belarusian lower house of parliament

BelTA) – The government has submitted the bill “On amendments to laws regarding industrial safety” to the House of Representatives, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian lower house of parliament.
The bill, in particular, provides for establishing the procedure for state oversight of compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union and EAEU technical regulations in the field of industrial safety.
The bill clarifies the powers of state bodies and other organizations in the field of industrial safety, the responsibilities of the head of an industrial safety entity (including an individual entrepreneur as an industrial safety entity), and other employees in terms of assurance of industrial safety.
Requirements are established for conducting industrial safety training for individuals responsible for production control.
The lists of hazardous production facilities and potentially hazardous facilities are being revised.
The Standing Committee on Industry, Energy, Transport, Communications, and Digital Development of the House of Representatives has been designated as the lead committee for the bill.
