Procedure for holding public discussions of ecology-affecting projects approved

The Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 14 May 2016 No.458 approved Regulations about the procedure for organizing and holding public discussions concerning ecology-affecting decisions and environmental impact assessment reports, for record-keeping of ecology-affecting decisions. The Regulations provide that the period of public discussions may not be less than thirty days.

The Resolution was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 21 June 2016 and enters into force from 1 July 2016.
