E-procurement procedure to be introduced in Belarus

According to Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 27 February 2012 No 112 public procurement of goods (works, services) in the Republic of Belarus may be carried out, till 31 December 2012, through electronic trading held by legal persons to be determined by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus without using public procurement procedures provided by legislative acts. The Edict provides that the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus shall approve Regulations on procedure for holding electronic auctions and determine the list of legal persons entitled to hold them.
The Edict enters into force from the day of its official publication.
