Belarus eased rules on obtaining permits of residence for some Ukrainian citizens

According to Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 30 August 2014 No 420 "On stay of citizens of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus", Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons, proceeding from Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, who arrived to Belarus to apply for permits for temporary or permanent residence in Belarus, are exempted from state duty and some formalities necessary for consideration of their applications, and also from payments for medical services rendered by state medical institutions.

The Edict has been officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 3 September 2014 and has entered into force after its official publication.
