Amendments concerning legal regulation of external labour migration approved

The Law of the Republic of Belarus of 5 January 2016 “On introduction of changes and additions in the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On external labour migration” amended provisions concerning the order of employment in the Republic of Belarus of foreigners who do not have permanent residence permits, including highly qualified workers and top-level managers. Also modifications have been made in the order of obtaining special permits for employment of foreign labour force and of termination and annulment thereof.

The Law was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 14 January 2016, and its main provisions enter into force in six months after its official publication.
