Law on protection of consumer rights amended

The Law of the Republic of Belarus of 13 June 2018 introduced amendments into the Law of the Republic of Belarus of 8 July 2008 “On protection of consumer rights”. In particular, amendments have been made for provisions concerning the procedure in which the consumer pays for goods (services) being acquired, including documents confirming the purchase of goods (services) by the consumer, as well as the duration of the warranty period for goods (services) being realized in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

The Law of 13 June 2018 was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 22 June 2018, and its main provisions enter into force in six months after its official publication.
